This chapter will describe and discuss about the method and way we use when conducting this study. It includes all steps required to find out the advantages about CAM among selected participants. The participants consist all manufacturing students Year 1 and Year 2 because they know better about manufacturing software rather students from other faculties. In order to find out the result, the survey questionaire method will be used that include different types of question which are closed-ended, multiple choice and fill-in-relevant information.
3.1 Description of participants
Faculty of manufacturing engineering and technology management has two departments. The Department of Manufacturing Engineering offers two courses which are Manufacturing Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. In this survey, we have decided to select participants from Manufacturing Engineering only. The participants will be around 50 students and selected randomly without considering their gender.
3.2 Data Collection Instruments
From the survey, the respondents will answer survey questionaire that consists 15 questions covering open-ended type and closed-ended type. In open-ended questions, the respondents will be given opportunity to answer using their own words based on their opinion. As we state before, we use fill-in-relevant information for open-ended questions where respondents without limited answers. For close-ended questions, we use dichotomous and multiple choice. In dichotomous type, respondents will answer either yes or no only while for multiple choice questions, respondents will choose the relevant answer given. The respondents has their own option to select more than one answer for the multiple choice questions.
3.3 Data Analysis Procedure
After finish collecting survey questionaire, we have to analyze all the data results. The results will be calculated and viewed on table and graph. From this way, it is easier to obtain whether our research objectives is accomplished or otherwise.
